Do you US of A .. folk have smarties down there?
I overheard my coworkers talking about smarties and how they donโ€™t have or not sure if they have them in the USA

How about NECCO wafers? Are those north of the border?

FYI Americans our Smarties are basically a rip off of M&Ms. The pressed sugar disks you call Smarties we call Rockets.

You're not missing out on the M&M ripoff Smarties. They changed the recipe ~15 years ago and they taste horrible but from what I remember before that they were basically identical to M&Ms.

We keep American Smarties around for stomach discomfort, they taste better than Tums.

Toestr Iโ€™m surprised and saddened to hear that. I remember getting Canadian Smarties when I was a kid (Iโ€™m 38) and they were really good

Yes we had them in Australia! The closest thing we have in USA is M&M's. Basically the same thing

Although i think everyone agrees that US chocolate is trash

I actually know one of the owners of smarties from back when I lived in NJ.

Fun fact, the shape came from reusing old surplus WWII machines used for pressing gunpowder into percussion caps.
"but we all have electros and you guys only have pumps, this wont be fair"

                    (chuckling quietly) "we know"
