That's what I'm trying to figure out. According to Reddit it should be a 32mm with 4mm clearance, but 6mm is preferred for gravel.

Edit- I have a 29er mountain bike but it's really heavy and a hardtail with no dropper. So it's a rough ride.

I don't think you need 6mm but it depends on what you're riding on. Mud you may want that but on hard pack dirt you can get away with less. When I put 50mm tires on my bike I'm definitely pushing the limit on the drive side clearance wise, maybe 2mm at best, but I haven't had any problems. I also mainly use those on hard pack dirt rail trails or dirt single/double track. I'm a fair weather rider and don't go out in the mud.

I'd look for some 32mm tires and go have fun.

Any recommendations for a wheel set and cassette? I just want to be able to swap out the wheel set and go

What cassette and crankset does your bike currently have? You may be ok using that. I have 2 wheel sets but they both have the same cassette. Really depends on your riding though.

As for wheels check marketplace or Craigslist. Or swap the tires you currently have on your rims. 32mm tires will fit on your current rims.

These are my road and gravel rides. Picked up the Canyon Grizl pretty recently and have been really enjoying it for gravel and more chilled out endurance rides.
