Big morning dip today. Bought several shares of Apple at a great price.

As much fun as paper trading is I'll be honest the main reason I don't do it is because if there is a good deal on a stock at any given moment I'm probably trying to jump on that buy with real money, not go into paper trading it. I'll probably not be doing much of the Marketwatch game...

So Intel dropped off the face of the earth this morning, made out pretty nicely. Now for AMD and NIO...

Looks like an opportunity to me. I trimmed a little of my AMD holding (8 shares) and rolled that into Intel at $48/share for 15 shares. Just wanted to cover my bases a little.

Long term I think Intel is going to do fine and they are kind of the "Coke" or brand name when it comes the CPU's. AMD is a total bull though, if there is an opportunity where it's trading at a discount I might go in for some more AMD down the road.

I agree on Intel, and I think it'll recover. I grudgingly agree with you on AMD, I have a lot in a put at the moment...

I wouldn't sweat your put too hard unless you placed it before AMD took off. There is naturally some over-exuberance priced in and I think AMD will pull back about 5% over the next week.

@$+$&@&@& I almost bought AMD in 2018 in the $16 neighborhood. Two limit buys failed to execute. Ever since then I've told myself not to chase a sailed ship but she keeps climbing higher

I finally sold mine then, tired of its terrible record. Hindsight...

6-12 months ago I had the hint to buy KODK, someone on a message board posted something like "KODK will probably go up one day". Well, that day came yesterday... and it is just... disgusting. I never would have owned it anyway, but damn.

This is how stock trading can lead you to ruin; it's so easy to look back at past prices, see what could have been, lose your head, and go chase something stupid

I'm a week away from my NIO put expiring. It's looking bad lol. AMD just continues to go up despite the news today...

Bought Apple on Monday...definitely not hating that move with a massive move upward on their earnings call and a 4x split....

It's been a few days, how's everyones trades holding up?

NGL this post is a humble brag on buying Apple. What a run and a total random buy! It almost helps offset selling Telsa at $1k or selling some AMD to buy Intel....

Was going to buy 10 more ABR, but it went over $10 and I only added $100 into my fin account. So started a position in ACRE. Similar business model, similar div, but didn’t move up with ABR recently.

Gabe I;m just glad someone is winning! Nice!

I've bought puts every week for the last 5 weeks and I am now broke lmao. Now watch, watch, just now, as I switch to calls, the market will tank.

I spent my last $100 on 25 contracts of SPY 345 for 8/14/2020, they were 0.03 each!! so like 0.05 for me with comissions. I have government relief money coming in but I will save that for puts that I am timing (or hit up a day at the casino and try roulette).

                          349 I mean, 345s are like 0.20 each.

                            Please keep buying puts then!

Sold a portion (~20%) of my position in O (Realty Income Corp) to free up some funds as I'm way overweight in Industrials and Real Estate. Moved it into more Apple shares today, bought 4 at $450/share. I'm pretty confident that once they do the 4-1 split at the end of the month a bunch of new investors will flock to Apple at the cheaper per-share price.

Basically I'm moving from Industrials (Boeing) and real estate (Realty Income) into more tech. Will be watching Intel closely for an opportunity to average down on some more shares since they are trading at a steep discount especially considering their earning power relative to the rest of the tech sector. Moving into tech has really muted my losses on bad days and hugely increased my earnings on good trading days. I'm still trying to get dividend paying stocks as a practice but I've found dividends don't help when your portfolio is lagging the S&P's growth. 100% growth in a week on tech stocks (looking at you AMD) beats the hell out of 5% per year for the next 20 years.

Added $50 worth of 0dte Spy 335c, let's see if I can excape these.

                              Edit :

well I could have doubled but got greedy and held til 3:59 and sold at a 20% loss oops. At least I sold though at a relatively small loss, learning something

having more fun with these small pots than the big pots.
