bellicose congrats! Hopefully you took some out to realize some profit. I suspect this is short lived. I think it'll take more than Snoop D-O-double G to make it a long term hold. I'm holding for now. I got in on the way up so I'm not in doubled money range unfortunately

All brokers charge fees for OTC trades. Ameritrade is $6.95 per trade on OTC but its free on major exchanges.

Ameritrade lags sometimes but I like their app. It work good 95% of the time and its full hours trading so full pre-market and after hours. You get lvl II and all of the charting tools and indicators as well.

I have a dumb question. Two dumb questions.
Last night EA announced they have finalized a deal to purchase Glu Mobile at $12.50 / share, which is likely to execute around June. Naturally, the stock price shot up to that level right after the announcement.
1. Can you think of any reason why a shareholder shouldn't sell today instead of waiting four months to get the same amount of cash?
2. Conversely, why would anyone buy GLUU shares at a price higher than $12.50? I have seen them fluctuate up to $12.60. Surprised short sellers suddenly covering positions?Dulce et decorum est pro comoedia mori

I found this:
"If the target company's stock price surpasses the price the buyer has offered to pay for each share, investors are indicating that they believe the target company may receive a higher bid from another buyer."
Technically the deal still needs to be approved by shareholders although it seems odd to me that anyone would bet on a higher ultimate price than the 30%+ premium that both boards have approved. But what do I know
Guess I'll hang on for a bit and see what happens.

If we're talking moral investing, I would probably prefer to invest in drone strikes on hospitals and schools rather than EA Games. (sorry that was a joke).
This GLUU acquisition reminds me of when Aurora Cannabis acquired CMED for $2B, long story short they got ripped off because everything was over-valued at the time in weedstocks. Kind of like, how everything is over-valued now in ALL MARKETS. GLUU is making off like a bandit, selling their expiring business to EA Games. It DID however, take 1+ years for this rip-off to actually come to light, because it seemed like a good deal at the time.
EA is the type of company to pay $2B to buy a company and close it, not saying they will do that here, in fact probably the opposite, but I don't see any value in GLUU beyond what EA is paying for it.Making new mods.

What kind of strategy do you guys have for day trading? I have a broker which deals with the bigger money and safer longer bets . I like to play with a set amount and buy daily. 10% and I’m out. Usually buy a $1000 of shares X a couple trades. Don’t know much I just play when they are at the upturns then get out when that 10% hits. Sold EMAN and aurora cannabis today for recents gains.

But for serious, VTSAX was the go-to before I started picking individual stocks. With a lot of research, constant attention, and some creative trading you can beat the overall market's return but I always wish for going back to a 100% VTSAX portfolio and just never looking at it again until I want to retire....but making big returns always keeps me in the rat race lol
Sold a few cash secured puts on SNDL today. Hopefully it doesn't tank but with how high the premiums are even if it does and the shares get assigned I'm not hurting. Selling $2 puts for $70/contract means adjusted cost basis would be $1.30/share so no worries. Getting in on these volatility spikes has really made my options game go brrrr. Once theta decay and IV crush come into play near expiration it's nothing but profits.

What kind of percentage gains are you getting? I want to learn more, but not sure if I want to devote the time to do the research like you do. But, then again, I would like to retire some day, and my state run retirement account isn't going to make that happen.

For my main portfolio I'm seeing 20% gains for the last year, 15% average over the 3 years I've been invested. The first 2 years are 10% averages from 2018 and 19 when I was 100% VTSAX. This last year picking stocks I didn't really beat VTSAX or the S&P500 but I did manage to stay with it but average a 3.5% dividend yield which is about double what the indices offer. I wouldn't necessarily spend the time to get to that point just for a higher dividend yield unless it's something you're passionate about.
On the other hand my yolo/day trading account is up 110% since May of last year when I opened it. There's money to be made if you're willing to get up at the crack of dawn and fight for it.
