I'll have to play with that some. I've been having quite a lot of fun using a Katana lately. It has at least 2x the damage output of any gun I've seen so far and as a bonus there is some dismemberment.

Wait, how do you even boot a computer in 2020 with 4 GB of RAM?

I'm holding out until I can pick up an RTX card (aiming at a 3060 Ti or 3070) before I play this, because I have enough else to do right now and I figure I might as well enjoy the ray tracing.

Also apparently pistols are super OP.

I just found a (mostly?) complete list of all the tracks on the different radio stations (for some reason the stations aren't in order...) and a list of all the stations and the genres they play. There is some really good music in there.

I found a setting for subtitles- I'll check again for regular UI stuff. Does the PC setting change item card text? i.e. the descriptions of weapons and perks?
    Thanks!

Picked it up tonight. Lotta fun, no game breaking bugs but plenty of entertaining glitches. Such as:

A man sitting four feet off the ground in the middle of the road.
An early game cutscene of a friend eating with chopsticks, but every time he takes another bite another pair of chopsticks appeared in his hands until he held an undulating hand fan of them.
Cars spawning doubled up at draw distance limit(low, currently limping around the game on four gigs of RAM) and getting flung out of one another at warp speed.

I too love that soundtrack. I have a large collection of songs from it, Oblivion, and Morrowind in a playlist. Basically all the noncombat, nondungeion music. It's great for chill background music. It definitely gets played at least once a month, usually more frequently but it has been on the backburner lately.
You know, I never played the older TES games -- I should really check out the soundtracks. Thanks. I will also listen to Frostfall, it could've just fallen through the cracks when I compiled the list. But back in the day I played Diablo and Baldur's Gate. For some reason TES wasnt on my radar back then.

But it's kind of incredible how big these AAA game projects are. I mean, to have The Swedish Orchestra do dozens of numbers for one title is quite impressive.

Cool. I'll check it out. You know which game had really good music which I still use today for cycling and working out... Skyrim. It's not rock, obviously, but The Swedish Orchestra made some really cool music for that game. I made the best workout mix using the official Skyim soundtrack and surprisingly I never get tired of listening to it even though I listen to it at least once a week for working out. I also have other playlists, obviously, and I work out at least 3 times a week, but I always rotate the Skyrim mix at least once a week.

I made the mix in this order:

    1. Standing Stones
    2. Sovngarde
    3. Tundra
    4. Sky Above, Voice Within
    5. Aurora
    6. Imperial Throne
    7. Dragonborn
    8. Wind Guide You
    9. Ancient Stones
    10. Kyne's Peace
    11. The Bannered Mare
    12. A Winter's Tale
    13. The Gathering Storm

Much like the Lt I'm playing on Xbox One and the game is good so far, but all kinds of glitchy and buggy. There are a lot of simple things that are missing like the ability to modify your appearance after the character creator and a limited number of merchants that you can interact with. There are 15 million vendors around, but you can't actually talk with most of them... I'd be good with a generic dialog and the ability to buy & sell.

A lot of the UI is really small as well. I don't sit 2-feet from my TV and can't read half of the text on item cards- drives me nuts. To be fair though- most games are like that...

and thats where im conflicted, it runs OKAY for me, its choppier in a crowd than i would like, but i suspect that won't last forever with a few patches

and part of me would totally be down to refund the $60 and buy it later when it comes on sale, but im not sure its worth the $20 id save in the long run..

I really liked Witcher but you do spend a lot of time running around harvesting plants. Good to know this game runs well on the newer cards. My new PC should be here Friday and I’m stoked to see how my new 3070 looks.

A good friend of mine picked this up after lucking up and getting a 3070. His own words are that it is absolutely stunning visually. Very immersive experience in that. Says that even with the GPU he has (on a 2600X) that some settings had to be tweaked in order to get good results. His words were "needs to be optimized", and in particular to what they say is minimum spec. His own opinion is that a lot of the negative spin coming out about the game has more to do with people attempting to play it on older hardware.

In my own game realm, I have been looking forward to it. My concern is that is WILL be another Witcher 3, or Red Dead, or Skyrim type thing. In my buddies own words he compares it most directly to GTA. I simply don't have the time to delve deep into some expansive game that ends up being hours of trudging along looking at scenery. Witcher is a prime example of this. Awesome game that is absolutely lovely to look at (especially with good hardware) and most of the time you are riding a horse somewhere.
