Dropbox is a cloud sync app, while backblaze et al are meant for archival. Personally, I have never had use for data archival as a service. It's far cheaper to use external drives, pack them up in pelican cases, and store off site, with no impact or QoS rules needed on my network to keep it from getting clogged.

I work with CAD all of the time, so I feel your pain. Do you not have a vault, or workgroup manager equivalent?

We are currently using BIM360 at work and it is awesome. Not cheap though. I've done some side work and have some files I've done for myself that I have on Dropbox, but if I ever wanted to workshare (multi-user access) those files Dropbox isn't a viable option. I don't know all the technical details, but it has something to do with how Dropbox locks files and how Revit locks files not playing nicely together. From the Autodesk wiki:
File-based worksharing in Revit was designed before the proliferation of cloud services and storage. The protections put in place to ensure that only one user owns a particular element or workset does not take into account other applications/services interacting with the files, and replicating them.
