The reason I left paintball for awhile. Well an occasional big game locally, but thats it.
Dirt track racing. Both cars are mine, and I do the driving. Black car in first picture is a mid 70's East coast modified. The other is a 73 challemger. Both run in a Vintage group at various tracks near STL.

Ever raced the dirt track at Lebanon Valley NY ? I run on the drag strip but I have watched the dirt track. Cool to see the Challenger you have there as I race a Mopar.

Is it a Gremlin body? That and Pintos where the most popular up in the North after all the early coupes where smashed up

      Pinto body actually.

I live near St. Louis Missouri, havent raced anywhere near there.
I love the Challenger, but why does used Mopar parts have to be twice as much as a Chevy....lol. I know why, but it is frustrating. Your car was the duster I seen earlier in the thread?

Yea they are the most expensive that’s for sure. Yup that’s my Green Duster. I read east coast modified and thought maybe you were from around here originally

Thanks it was originally all red, too much red. The shifter and the piston knob are by Lokar.

It’s a Bluetooth marine receiver in the middle, 12v plug and probably the Tach on the other side of steering column

Nothing special but utilitarian. ‘07 Ranger, 2.3L 4 cyl., 2wd, 144k miles. Still lots of life left. Just swapped my snows & got the thermostat changed. Good to go for the year. Gonna do something about the rust on the box this year. Maybe bed rail caps & some nice floor mats.

Ahhh the Ranger. I had a 97, 4cyl, 5 speed 2wd with the long bed. It was a nutless turd, but one of the best trucks I've ever owned. So much fun to just beat the crap out of it, and the truck preferred it that way. It seemed like any part I had to replace was $20

BrickHaus The wife has a 4wd RAV4. I steal that when I need to. I have snows for the rear axle & 600lbs of sand bags for the box. That does the trick well enough.

JeeperCreeper Yeah, they don't do much but they have it where it counts. This thing has been pretty much bulletproof. Would you believe I bought it off an insurance company after the previous owner rolled it? That was 15 years ago at 17K miles, almost brand new. Popped the dents out, drained the motor & it's been running like a top since. The only major non-wear part I've had replaced was the thermostat. Oh, and the bumper, grill & a headlight after I whacked a deer (drove it home too). They're hard to kill & I love it.

It'll be a sad day when I have to replace this truck.

That bumper looks like a deer killer now

The 135i got major surgery. A local gentleman that used to work for BMW does work out of his garage. He had to drop the drivetrain out of the chassis while replacing turbochargers, oil pan gasket, oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket, coolant pump, rear main seal, clutch upgrade, trans fluid, diff fluid, and probably more.

It cost less than what a dealership would charge but still a good chunk of money. I had been planning on most of the work needed, it’s 14 years old now and I had purchased in 2016 for a steal, so not the end of the world.

I still need to upgrade the fuel pump to keep up with 20 psi of air. Should be around 500-550 hp and last another decade.

Seems like bmw’s in-line 6 and trans are super stout, but everything around it has a short lifespan. Oh well, time to enjoy it.

I love the N54. It's a modernized 2JZ, and can handle serious power. I had an 07 335i and it was amazing. I miss that car. I believe I still have an old Cobb tuner for it kicking around somewhere.
For the fuel system, I believe they made a secondary port injection kit that helps keep the intake valves from gumming up, and of course for mo powa baby. Never got into mine that far though, was running 16psi stage 2 tune. Never wanted to mess with the direct injection on the car either.

I love this platform. I can talk about it for days

It really is a great engine. I’ll be dropping in a stage 2 low pressure fuel pump this weekend. The Walbro 450 should flow plenty for the boost I’ll run.

Then I’m done. Do some worn out suspension bits like bushings etc and just enjoy it.

Good luck. I had to replace one of the sending units in my gas tank on the 335. It was such a pain in the ass. Make sure you use up as much gas as possible before going in there.

Installed the fuel pump last night and pulled some data. Low pressure, high pressure, and AFRs all look good now. Did get a couple misfires 6200 rpm 18 psi of air. Time for some cooler spark plugs.

      Love it

It was too cold for the new tires on the Corvette so my WRX had to fill in for track duty today. It did better than I expected.

Convinced my wife to go too (she ran the GTI next to my WRX).

That's a really neat bumper setup.

im going to bet that this location, this backdrop, for this picture did not come together by chance.

if you got there on a day when no one was out, youd think it was from back in the day.

very nicely done. (picture and car)

un2xs, the third generation, the NC (what I have) has surprisingly good leg and head room. If you were well above 6 feet, I'm sure you would struggle, but otherwise it's pretty comfortable. If you mean carrying loads of people or junk, yeah I can't help you there lol!

Who knew a Jeep is also a work truck. Don't worry, I did have more straps and a flag on it after I took the pic.
