Did you tell him you had a six-pack waiting? That usually worked for me.

          Worse, I have money. lol
Not asking for a freebie, though he was nice enough to discount his rate. It is getting to the point though that if it takes another week, i give him a head start and just do half of it myself. lol

        Still waiting on the electrician.
Starting to lose patience. blocking installed, insulation installed, plywood sheeting installed, phase converter mounted.

I also have had half of the stuff in the attic in the garage now so that he can run the wire for the quad outlet through the attic to my bench.

Also ordered a air dryer and a machinist level.

He must have had Taco Bell before coming over, and had to take an epic growler!

Nice! Judging by the lack of wear on the control panel, she must be a pretty low mile machine.

Overall solid day of learning, my buddy Edward was able to come over today and help get me pointed in a direction. He is a full time machinist and more familiar with cnc stuff that i am. We were able to do some fumble our way around enough to get a few things figured out today.

I was able to wire up an air chiller/dryer, missing 2 fittings to connect to from the air compressor to the machine.

              Figured out:
How to run the spindle warm up.
Tool changer does confirm to work.
coolant pump runs, still need to mix coolant.
Tool holders are ER-32 and ER-16. So i will either need more collets or more holders.
Batteries are dead in the probe and tool setter. Ordered.
It has file share. I think i can setup server to drop files to instead of using usb.

              Still need to figure out:
How to turn off incremental setting for inputting tool lengths and diameters.
How to set the a new location for the tool setter. may want to move it to get more realestate for the vise.
How to setup the file share.
              Lighting inside the mill.

Levi i Since you mentioned low mileage.

-My stuff is nice...? The only thing that makes my videos 'nice' is I try not to show the boxes of junk and buckets of suspension parts. There's a reason I haven't done a "shop tour" video, you know.

Some more plywood on those walls and some white paint would make a lot of difference. I'm sure you're heading that way, but like I said about the floor paint, it's better to do it while the walls are still clean, and before there's a bunch of soluble-oil vapor all over everything.

                  Doc.

Regarding what Doc said about walls, there was a while where FRP was cheaper than plywood. Won't hold anything, but if you put blocking at known heights before hanging it, you can put your tool racks on the blocking, and the FRP cleans easily. And you won't have to prime and paint, so there's that advantage over plywood.

Yeah, I hate painting... almost as much as I hate sanding drywall.

Wood is up, insulation is in, outlet wired and working. Hose reel mounted. Air is up and going. Cleaned some more up. Getting closer to a functional garage again. Hoping to pick up a cabinet this week for the oils and then I can get going.
