Lift and Tires!

Same tire and lift size as me! Though, I don't want a high lift in the front of the jeep. Maybe a side, maybe the back.

I originally mounted my highlift on the back bumper.... then moved to the front bumper... before moving to the cowl.

The issue had that when in REALLY deep mud, the high lift would be totally caked with mud and often not work 100%

And let me tell you: High Lifts are friggen scary when they fail. Sometimes, when jacking up, the pin won't "set", and it will just drop the vehicle straight down.
and god forbid the jack handle slips out of your hand and smack you in the face. I always keep my face FAR away from the strike zone.

They are very, very useful. But dangerous

That's why I keep mine inside. It's always ready to go. They make rollbar mounts

If you insist on the bizarre move of mounting a hi lift on the outside of your truck, for god’s sake put a cover on it.

There are better (safer) ways to do everything a hi lift does.

Climbing in and driving, it's amazing how different and higher up those few inches make it. Can't wait until spring break, where I'll have the time to install the winch and new bumper and then test it out.

If you don’t have sliders or steps, they are something to consider to prolong the life of your seats. It’s something I didn’t think about until there was some wear, but getting into a tall vehicle without steps has you sliding on your upholstery and wearing it quickly.

I have the Mopar tube step. I wouldn't have ever though about that though.

JLs come with handles there. They dont look cool like yours, though. I also put some paracord handles on the top bar.

All my trucks are pretty high off the ground.... and none of them have steps.
And all the seats are TRASHED!

In all these years it never occurred to me until I read your post that a step might solve the issue. hahaha
I'm so used to "sliding" off the seat to get out. It is pretty common to see ducktape holding the seat together. And I love summer time when the ducktape sticks to the hair on my legs!!

I have observing how I get into and out of the jeep over the past two days. Yeah, that's going to wear that side down. I'm going to have to change up my routine.

Playing with the superchips, I changed my splash screen to Rubicon for the lols, and messing with other options, some how disabled my blinkers. Had to reset it because I couldn't figure out which option I changed. Now, I'll go through each one to see what happened.

Man your superchips sounds cooler than my JK one. I'll get a JL after they release that plug in hybrid 4Xe model. Then again the 392 Rubicon would be way more fun

Lots of features to play with for sure. I had my daughter out there helping me when I did it. She looks down to a small pad under the e-brake, where you would keep some change. "Dad, what are these screws for?" I peer over to see four black screws with blue locktite on the threads. Crap. I must have put them there for safe keeping, but now I don't know where they came from.

Before and after. New bumper just arrived, and the winch is this week. Going to have a fun spring break of installs. Also moving the on board air from under the second row seats to inside the cavity behind the diver's side tail light.
