Been a die hard fisherman forever but got the itch this year to try my hand at Lobster (California Spiny Lobster). I finally have a vessel I can safely hang out at the Channel Islands (out of Ventura) at night. Anyone into this? Have some tips for me? Read all I can but curious what depth to go early in the season? best time? Anyone throw it down on the reef/rocks or always better just outside? Any other advice? Hoping to go out in a week or so
