Sleeping bag recommendations for backpacking trips

    I should have updated this thread.

    Ended up buying a Sea to Summit Trek bag in the 30 degree wide version as my primary sleeping bag.

    It’s substantially lighter and packs up smaller than my older sleeping bag, but it’s wide enough I can comfortably roll around in it at night.

    I also picked up the sea to summit spark liner for either really warm trips or as additional warmth inside the trek. It’s a little tight around the shoulders, but weighs almost nothing and packs down to only a little bigger than a pop can.

    Between those two I should be pretty well set for the immediate future.

      Another update:

      Spent a couple of nights on the superior hiking trail with temps down into the mid 40s at night and I was very happy with the Trek sleeping bag.

      It was a good balance of warmth, room to stretch out, and being packable.
