New (non-paintball) outdoor gear sharing - what did you get?

Spring and Summer outdoor hobbies are starting to get closer and closer.

Let’s see what kind of new outdoor gear folks are picking up for this season!

My first purchase for the season was aimed at improving my comfort on back country camping trips- picked up a new 15-degree sleeping bag. Slightly warmer and less restrictive than the one I used last season, without being substantially bulkier or heavier.

Plus I had a discount code (Summit30) to save 30% off the regular price.

I want to updates some of my camping gear this year. I love my little Big Agnes tent, but my sleeping pad leaves something to be desired.

You see the ones that roll up super tight but you can blow up when in use. They are pretty sweet for back packing definitely better than the foam roll ups. Some even have an Insulating layer.

Chuck E Ducky I actually have a cheaper one of those and they are def. superior. My brother has a nicer one that he swears by, I'll try to find more information on it.

I’m thinking about investing in a trailer hitch hammock for travel games my new ride has a trailer hitch. But I’m not sure if it would be worth the investment because my car camp setup is pretty sweet and comfortable.

You can try laying in my hammock at Slims if you want. I love it but they aren’t for everyone.

The car hitch ones look cool but I prefer bridge hammocks over gather end hammocks. You can lay on your side easier in a bridge hammock. A downfall of bridge hammocks is that they need wider hanging points than gather end hammocks. I need about 14’ for my hammock where most gather end hammocks are ok with 11’. That’s why I use the hitch extender as one end to hang from.

Looking to go back to a pickup truck after a couple years in an SUV. I was way more comfortable with my truck bed setup for camping out then I have arranged in my Armada. I still have my complete setup for my truck setup so now to find that elusive 8ft bed truck again and get things all setup again. Once that is done planning on investing in a TopperEzLift kit/tent

A TopperLift kit and our Weekender Package will give your truck plenty of extra working space that pops into place in seconds.

A new underquilt is on my want to buy list. The one I have now is listed as 40-60° but around 60° is where it starts getting chilly on my ass.

I ordered a new under quilt for my hammock. They’re saying 6 week lead time so it should be here before I need it at the end of May. I went with a Loco Libre Ridge Reaper as it is designed to fit my hammock.
