    Tank Regulator 4500-3000psi difference

    Odd question

But what would it take to put a 4500psi reg on a 3000psi tank. Is it possible/ok to do so? Is it as simple as swapping burst disks on a 4500psi reg to switch it for use on a 3000psi tank?

I have a brand new ninja pro v2 reg I bought years ago for a tank that I ended up scrapping (threads were damaged removing old reg).

Presently I contemplating switching to 48/3000 tanks As there cheap, I never shoot much and only carry 400 balls on field at any time. Also here in canada they don’t require hydro and are life time tanks. That being said I love having the adjustability to locate the fill nipple and tank gauge the ninja And first strike pro regs Provide.

You wouldn't need to do anything to the Reg itself if you are using a 4500 reg on a 3k bottle
But if you play at a field where you have to hand over your tank to be filled by someone else. Please be sure to point out to them that it is a 3k bottle so they don't overfill.

some places wont refill a miss matched setup like that. other places will.
its "safer" to have it the other way around.

      i have both setup.

i have a 3000psi label plastered to the tank in plain view. (it has a 4500 reg on a 3k tank)

if you go the other way (3k reg on a 4500 tank) you have to swap out burst discs

Could I m no or just swap 3k burst discs onto the 4500 reg? Making it safe?

Yes, swap the burst disks and it's good, the thing others are saying though is the reg bodies are usually labeled 3k or 4.5k. if a fieldnotices that the reg body is labeled one way and the tank body is labeled a different they might have an issue with it.
