I am not talking about a dye or pigment in the gel oat or epoxy but actually changing the color of the cloth. Got a project I am working on and this is kind of crucial to keeping it affordable.

I build and fly R/C sailplanes, and a friend of mine Dave does some composite work. I don't know if fiberglass cloth will even take dye, but one thing my friend Dave did was to use silk in his layups- a silk scarf. You could dye the silk and make that the outermost layer of the lay-up.
Edit: You may want to check ACP Composites 5.4 oz. Carbon Fiber/Aramid 2x2 Twill Weave Fabric | ACP Composites

I currently have some carbon fiber/fiberglass cloth that has been dyed so the carbon fiber is still black but the fiberglass has taken the color. This was done after weaving, I am just trying to figure out how it was done. Nothing I can find on the interwebs is helping me out. The same supplier offers a multi colored fiberglass cloth that is dyed in house, this looks like the dye is applied by hand to create patterns on the cloth.
