    Liquid Paintball Bang Switch Thoughts?

I'm not particularly interested in this for its shortening of the trigger stroke, but if it's orings are standard instead of the propriety seals on the stock Emek switch, I could be convinced to get one.

What does everyone think of them? I've heard the stock orings are trash.

    They are not standard.

They take the same o-rings that the stock switch actuator takes. It will lighten the trigger pull by a good few ounces, though. I liked mine on my old Gmek. You could really feel the difference on that slider.

It’s less reliable from what I have seen then the Dw valve. Throw out the color orings put the ones on the bang from your stock switch and it’s better. They get sticky at times marker I’ll chuff and be slow to reset. Keep it clean with good orings and they work decent.

I bought one for my Gmek to shorten the pull. Didn’t have problems with the stock o-rings and it did seem a little quicker to pull. But I ended up taking it out because I value reliability more and the stock switch works great.

Yeah I like how the Gmek feels with the stock stuff, I'd be concerned that I'm doinking it up more than helping

Thanks guys for the input guys. I'll play a bit more with my Emek, and re-evaluate.

I installed a bang switch in my emek. I used it last weekend and it worked great. I've never used the Hair 45 valve, so I cannot compare them at all. I would recommend the Bang Switch, but also I would say get an adjustable trigger. I kind of wish i had gotten a good trigger first to see what could have been achieved with just using its adjustability. I bought a SSC race trigger, its... 3d printed .... plastic ... not super expensive but again its plastic. I managed to pull the trigger with the safety engaged and now its not like having a safety at all. i can pull the trigger past it while its on safe or on fire. I will be getting a PBW Trigger next.

                Bang Switch g2g imo

I took mine out too. I can still shoot plenty fast enough with the stock valve and an Emach trigger & pen spring installed.

Bang switch works well. I never had issues with the stock (yellow) o-rings. I did not find that it lightened the trigger noticeably, just made the pull much shorter. Short enough that it was easy to adjust the trigger so that the safety was not functional. Pulled it out and just stuck with the adjustable trigger. Trigger alone cut my pull roughly in half, safety now works.

I think it's a good product, but it sort of fills a weird middle ground. If you really want to shoot fast, the hair valve shortens and lightens the trigger. If you don't want to shoot super fast, but want some adjust ability and a better trigger feel, you can get a lot out of just installing one of the aftermarket triggers.

Once you get to a certain point trying to chase after a faster ROF, you're probably better off just going electronic. At least then you get the benefit of eyes and BPS caps.

I'm not concerned about rof, I'm just a trigger snob from shooting real steel. If rof comes as a side effect, that's cool too. I have a Lok bolt, so I'm not too concerned about chopping. I also have a Fang Trigger on there already.

Here are some screen caps from docfire 's video about the Bang Switch. It definitely does lighten the trigger a bit.

I had one and liked it. I have since given it away and much prefer the Hair45. It did make a difference though, with an adjustable trigger you could really take advantage of it, but in a marker with a bone stock trigger you probably won't notice it.

Iirc the BS used the exact same orings as the stock one. The only real difference between them is the spacing/placement of them.

If you are not changing out the trigger for an adjustable one the pen spring mod will give you a similar feel. The bang switch shortens up the throw but you really need an adjustable trigger to take full advantage of it. IMO

I run the Hair45 and a 2nd gen Infamous trigger with a pen spring on my emek and it rips. It’s a night and day difference. I’m going on my 3rd season with this setup and its been extremely reliable. It’s way faster then most all tournament legal mechs and it blows the comp out of the water in terms of efficiency so I can run smaller lighter setups and still shoot the paint. Great for front players making big bumps.

The bang switch markers we run on my 10man team need some love every now and again. Nothing you can’t field strip. But I have fixed a few at the field that get sticky without regular maintenance. They work fine with regular maintenance but they need to be kept clean or they don’t reset the valve. The marker will tend to half cycle and not load a ball.
