Velocity and temperature are the biggest factors for sure. You play at a lower velocity you can get crazy numbers out of a 12g. Especially some of those gold ones that are notoriously overfilled. Reality is tho in real world play it’s kind of Irrelevant. Knowing how your setup reacts is part of the Stock Class challenge. Over the chrono numbers really don’t help you when your in the middle of a battle and over shooting your 12g’s ability to convert liquid to gas. I feel like It’s all part of the game.

This uses a lot of idealized assumptions and could be refined further. LMK if you have suggestions, corrections, etc. But any further refinements will only reduce the total shot count, not increase it. So it may be a useful reference point in that sense.
