    Gauge Issue

I bought a CP reg extender with gauge port so I could set my regs easier. Problem is I can’t get it to read any pressure. Even switched out the gauge, but still reads as zero regardless of the reg, or whether there is air or not.

I’ve switched out regs as well, started with my Gladiator which never seems to work right and over to a CP which I know is properly set and the gun works with. But gauge still reads as zero.

So what dumb thing am I doing wrong?!

    I’d recommend a 600 psi gauge rather than a 6000 psi gauge.

Ya I'd assume you're running under 500 psi on there? You'll be hard pressed to see a difference with a scale that large.

Running the gauges I have. I can pull a 300 off an empire sniper. Can’t get my paws on a 500 or would have ordered it with the reg extender. Would have thought the gauge would move a little bit even if a 6k

Most paintball gauges don't have good accuracy especially high pressure gauges. At 10% accuracy, what should read 4500 psi could read close to 4000psi or 5000psi and still be "accurate".

The upper line on the box between 0 and 1000 is 500 psi. If you're running the 300 psi it will be very difficult to tell the difference (if it moves at all). The accuracy on these cheap small gauges is pretty bad, especially at this scale, because it doesn't have to be. Course accuracy (in the 500-1000 psi scale) is more or less acceptable for its intended application on tanks.

The reason I bought the reg extender was for trying to get a MacDev Gladiator reg to work. I can’t seem to it to work at all and was hoping the gauge would give me a rough idea. I think I have a large gauge on a different reg which may work a bit better. I’ll look through my giant bin o’ crap and see if so have something better.

I have 2 new 1200psi gauges in 100psi increments if you can’t find smaller.

Is the issue the gauge, or no air coming through?

If it's the gauge, then obviously you need one with a different scale, like everyone else has pointed out.... you're using a meterstick to measure millimeters. (Oooh, nice, Canadian reference)

if there's no air coming out, it doesn't matter what gauge is in there.

Whats the Gladiator doing? Are you adjusting it correctly? Some reg adjustments are backwards... in reduces pressure, out increases.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Air is coming through. I can fire the gun but it leaks with the Gladiator reg and no issue if switched over to a CP reg. I’ve bottom out the adjustment starting for being bottomed out to almost calling out with no change. Might have to take it apart again and see is something is wrong

Found a 1500 psi gauge and same issue. No movement on the gauge, gun airs up, leaks until cocked and holds are. Cycle the gun, no change to gauge. Still the Gladiator reg.

You need a lower pressure gage. That reg is probably running around a 350psi output.

You would be better off plugging that port, and investing in a reg tester setup if you are that concerned about your reg input pressures. (Get a nice liquid filled gage and adapt it to an ASA that bleeds off.) those micro gages are not accurate at all and they break all the time.

Sounds like your reg is not regulating properly. Does the gauge move with the CP reg?

Definitely think it’s a issue with the Galdiator reg. I’m going to abandon trying to get the gauge to work and focus on the reg. The sniper works perfectly with the CP but leaks with the Gladiator and adjustments don’t seem change the gladiator at all. Time for w a tear down. I have the original box and instructions thankfully.

Update: reg tear down worked this time. Took it all apart, added some grease everywhere and finally actually work. Pressure is right at the top level for the reg, but no leaks now. Just need to play with the velocity now.
