Hi! Is there any kind of seal needed for mating a CO2 fill station with the bulk tank?
I assume it is just brass on brass...but it looks like maybe a thin oring might go there.
Also, I am rebuilding a bunch of on-off tank valves for the tanks. I have some quarter turn SP valves, and some unknown brand half turn red knobed valves. While I search for my snap ring pliers...are there any written instructions or rebuild videos for these? I did some Google and MCB (3.0) searching and couldn’t come up with anything. I swear I think I remember a rebuild thread from the “old” MCB. I am hoping it is as simple as remove snap ring, pull out knob/post, clean out gunk, replace some orings (standard size?), a little lube, and reassemble.
Any pointers/cautions welcome!
Anyone know if the red knob ones are any good? Oh...and anyone know the function of the extended piece on the bottom of one of my Smart Parts valves?
Thanks to MCB, I am close to having my 8 SL-68’s ready for the field...just need to finish up the CO2 source.
