Another thing you can use is thin film adhesive, kind of like double sided tape. Not carpet tape your sweat will breakdown the adhesive on that but what you use to put in things like jewels and logos on cars will work fine and are very "weather (sweat)" resistant. Most any good automotive store will have pads and rolls of it for sale.

I use a lot of adhesives building RC sailplanes. My choices would be:
E-6000: Amazingly strong long term. You can get UV-Inhibited, clear, black and white versions. This would probably be my first choice.
3M-Super 90: Comes in a spay can, but you can spray onto a piece of carboard and brush it on with a disposable solder brush. Strong, thin and semi-flexible after a year in the sun on one of my R/C sailplanes.
Shoe-Goo is made by the same Ecclectic Corp that makes E-6000, but I understand it uses a different solvent, and doesn't have the "self-leveling" feature which I suspect is some sort of silica that E-6000 does, so it's a little more flexible, slightly less strong.
3M-77: Has a new solvent with more acetone in it, so use it cautiously around stuff that acetone would attach.
