Recommended Loader for AGD RT Classic?

A friend serviced my RT Classic and I want to actually field it. What is the minimum loader recommended for one of these? Also, what is the preferred loader for an RT Classic?

I figure if its loader enough to keep up with the RT it should be fine on anything else I want to field. (My friend said you can definitely sweet spot the trigger on this one. :-)

    Thanks!

I mean the revy is what was in them back in the day and worked then….. want something current I’d say buy a virtue IR/IR2 or an older spire and go sling paint.

The LTR/original rotor seems to be the best bang for your buck loader, but I have no idea how they well they work with the different detents you can use in a mag. Or you can get a level 10 and just use whatever.

          For RT speeds?

Prophecy Z2 or Dye Rotor / rotor 2 / ltr

Spire and Pinokio are good but slow for hi speed RT action.

I used a R2 the last time, best choice so far.

            Classic RT

            - doc's ac barrel adapter with a random barrel
            - lvl10
            - rotor 2
            - ninja shp

rotor hands down is the way to go. I have several videos on youtube showing they keep up just fine.

Revy was way insufficient. Rhythm firing, taller smoke stacks, learning to pause before you chop. Nothing really worked well. Halos break, Spires aren't super fast, buy the Rotor.

When I built my last truly fast RT ULE Mag. I set it up and tuned it to rt (maybe 15ish bps). Ran great and didn’t skip a beat fed with a Pinokio speed loader and stayed nice and light. Really liked that loader and wish I kept it. The speed replaced my Halo too as I liked it’s smaller lighter profile. The halo also fed the Mag just fine but was heavier and harder to clean and was harder on batteries.

Presently I run a Rotor LTR. I like it a lot. Way overkill speed wise for me (I only run classic valves now). But the rotor platform is bullet proof easy to clean looks good and is faster feeding than anything else I know of. And it’s also very good on batteries. It’s only draw back is WEIGHT. It’s a bit of a heavy brick (possibly even more than the Halo). And for that reason alone I would not recommend it for use on a rt classic. Never liked heavy loaders on the plastic 45* elbows. Heck I don’t even like running my revy’s on my classic Mag because I don’t trust those elbows.

I had a few problems with my RT classic jamming balls in the feedneck with a Rotor. It also seemed to push the paint deeper in the twist lock breech causing stack clipping. Had much better luck with a revvy but at the same time the real issue is the twist lock barrel. Get rid of it and get a Doc's autococker adapter or ULE body.

real issue is normally the powerfeed plug not being parabolic and tiny paint.

Tiny paint being much harder to resolve.

I had (have) a B2 that worked well up to 20bps. I think the main thing was that the force is adjustable, which you can do on a rotor. My pinokio was good for bursts of a stack at 12 bps, which was about all I could bounce at that rate.

Since the automag breech size is limited by the bolt, you usually have to coddle the detents, so being able to adjust the loader force helps things move along just right.

Depends on how fast you plan to RT. I have my Xmag sweetspotted around the 12bps mark and my Vmax+ keeps up fine.

Do any fields actually let people use runaway RTs at 20+ bps?
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I sincerely hope zip guns aren't allowed. Its not something I want to use all the time... but I want it handy "just in case." Just in case the happy triggers decide bonus ball is the name of the game. Also, I would be willing to bet that some of the new guys showing up at the "local" fields have never seen an RT. They may not expect volume return fire from the old guy with the mech.

I am not a speed baller and have never been one to shower paint on opponents. I never really got into the end of the day center flag shoot it all so you don't have to take it home games. Even in long capture the flag games I have only ever topped off a VL200... I took two pods and always had paint coming off the field. Better than being out of paint, I suppose.

I like to be able to crank up my regulator and run 14-15 bps in a pinch if I feel like it. If there's alot of electros just ramp spamming everyone then it's nice to have the option. Sometimes I just do it for kicks at the chrono just to make sure the old gal's can still do it, let them run wild a little. The real key is trigger control. That's the important difference between ripping 3-4 round burst off, or laying on the trigger like a jerk and hitting someone with 15. Most people suck with trigger control in general.

                          1st gen Rotor.
                          Halo/Reloader B

To be fair not many of the new loaders on the market are as fast as these three.
