Wait, there's another option? Well, I'll be...

The Max Flo is usually pretty tolerant of the quality of the seals contained therein. I have ten or eleven of the bastards, a few of which are on Shockers with Turbo boards, some are on markers that can shoot way faster than a Shocker. Some still have stock o-rings, some have o-rings from SP rebuild kits, others have all buna o-rings. What grease are you using? When in doubt, tear it down, clean, and re-lube.

If you have another air source to try, by all means, do exactly that.

Yeah, max flow was my first thought too. I rebuilt it according to the zdsb guide, but I will check all the fittings for being over tight. Good tip.

The needle on that grandfather clock guage seems to drop back to 50 or so pretty quickly, but pops back up to +200. But after the 5th or 6th "turbo" the bang bang bang turns to chug chug chug.

Is it possible I used the wrong durometer o-rings? I have every 70 and 90 under the sun, but its possible I threw a 70 on one where a 90 was meant to go? I drink when I tech and tech when I drink... covid isolation may have exacerbated that haha.

I'll have some air in a couple weeks and will get a video if it still happens after I check the fittings and thee the higher output tank.

I REALLY suspect its the maxflow, try swapping a different reg on it? Especially if it does the same thing after five or six quick shots in Semi, that screams a recharge issue to me. Might want to check the fittings too if you messed with them at all. I've screwed macro fittings in too tight before and it restricted airflow enough that it caused problems.

If you have a Max Flo on it, I can't see the input pressure being an issue. As long as the pressure going into the gun is a consistent ~175-200 psi, the tank's output pressure is not relevant.

Could it be my tank's output pressure? My Ninja is about 800, but I have a tank with a reg set to 990 that I use on a Lvl 10 Tac One with a ULT.

If that won't do it then it must be the noids.

If it cycles fine at "high" speed on semi, you can rule out the reg being the problem, and then it might be an issue with the board. What kind of consistency are you getting over the chrono?
Haven't put it over my chrony yet. Just threw a handful of balls in the hopper to test it and here I am.

I'll get some air this weekend and get a video together. Jordan and Meleager7 will be at the big game I'm going to on sunday and said they'd lend a hand too.

I'm hoping it's not an electrical problem.

Not really after 5 or 6 fast ones it starts skipping.

Hey everyone, having some issues with my Shoebox 4x4. I cleaned and replaced every oring, greased the ones that needed it (as per zdspb) and the problem persists. Bolt assembly, firing piston, poppet and maxflo all look clean. Gauge is reading a hair under 200psi, and I don't want to go much higher. Fresh 9v battery too.

On semi it's fine, the maxflo recharges fast enough. when I clicked it into Turbo however, it fires one or two good ones and then stops shooting air; the bolt just cycles on turbo while pufts of air vent out the exhaust hole on the body.

Could this be a noid issue? I'm leery about cleaning them if I don't have to. The gun has sat about 3 years, but worked last time I used it.

I was also thinking it could be my ninja hpa tank, which is about 825psi I believe. I have an old empire tank I use on my automags that's shimmed to 950psi, should I try that? I also took out the co2 filters in the maxflo, still the same problem.

Any thoughts? When I get some air this weekend I'll get a video of it.

    Thanks in advance.
