70D vs 90D: is the Difference Negligible?

So my usual oring dealer only carries the size I need for a STBB hammer in 70D while the factory specs are 90D. Can I get away with it for a reasonable amount of time or na?

    It'll last for a while.

Stick to urethane if you can - a lot more forgiving if it starts to run dry. But if all you have is NBR 70, keep it oiled and you'll probably be ok.

Oh - theoringstore.com is where I get my specific stuff, like urethane and odd sizes.

It's not going to matter for the hammer. That's a high wear part anyways and will need replacement just as often.

Alright thanks. I usually purchase from theoringstore. It's an 11x1.5mm oring I need and they only carry it in 70D in any material.

Depends on the exact use. I've had markers that are speced with polyurethane 90d be just fine running buna 70d.

I've also had a case where a polyurethane 70d was speced and a poly 90d or a buna 70d was not good enough

          Depends on the marker

For instance CCM valves if you don’t use the right hardness they won’t seal. Standard Bunna that come in most kits do not work. I chased a valve leak for weeks and bought new valves before I emailed CCM and they told me what I was doing wrong. So some markers it matters others it dose not.
