a friend handed me one of these to see if I could get it running. would post this in a marker specific forum, but i have no idea who even made these even after a bit of googling

whats the story behind them - guessing Chinese clone company?

after giving it a once over and replacing all seals - most were gum - I aired it up - first problem was leaking at the puncture pin seal. - replaced that with a phantom seal and aired up again. - same issue. this time I wrenched on the filler cap with a pair of pliers and got it to seal - so kind of a success....?

it cycles and shoots fine now though I sometimes get a slight leak down barrel - that typically means cup seal?

gets exactly 10 shots to the 12 gram so efficiency sucks

this thing a worthless POS or are there threads about addressing these issues and getting a decent gun going?

There's no real "official" story behind these but the large consensus is they are all basically Chinese clones of basically the same design, look for the air passage plate on the left side and that's a really strong indicator that you are dealing with one of these

Here's the big problem though, they are all slightly different. The overload runs a separate puncture assembly from the valve while the pt extreme has it all in one assembly. Some run one style of magazine, others run their own,

Pt Xtreme uses spyder threads.... But they are on the barrel tip rather than the breach, Delta 68 and overloard are integrated barrel/body.

They are all slightly different so you can't always say which parts work with which ones.

I've been doing a lot of research and studying these over the last couple years to see what the differences are between the different models and what changes were made. It all started with the PT Enforcer then the PT Professional as well as the I&I Sports exclusive the PT Punisher. Then came the PT Xtreme which other than the PT part of the name shares almost nothing with its predecessors and the PT Enforcer shares some parts with the PT Professional but is not 100% compatible. The PT Professional later evolved into the Armotech/Warsensor/Miltec Zeus which almost all the components from will fit the PT Professional.

All of the o-rings on these are essentially just tank o rings and like you've already discovered a Phantom pierce pin will thread right into the piercing block, however make sure that there's an o-ring at the back side of it when you thread it into the block as well as a little bit of blue loctite. These are not the most efficient pistols in the world no matter what you try to do to them. I find your shot count is 20 at best as long as you don't go too fast. Recommend if yours came with a turbo valve in it,change it to a standard Spyder valve instead as the turbo valves that came in a lot of these seem to hurt the efficiency.
If you want efficiency out of these type of pistols you're better off getting some of the later ones. The PT Xtreme was a very efficient pistol if you could get it to stop leaking, which is where the 4th generation version comes in also known as the PT Junior. Those particular pistols have a dual seals on them, one is at the piercing assembly and the other is at the 12 G knob. The advantage to that is if the piercing seal fails which is a very common issue on those the 12 G knob backs it up and seals the whole lower tube.
If you're feeling adventurous you can do what I did and get a Delta 68 and modify the piercing block out of a Zeus to fit in place of the Delta's stock piercing assembly which is a piece of garbage.

If you take the piercing block out of a Zeus, drill and tap the mounting hole that retains it for a helicoil, then remove the piercing assembly out of the Delta 68, then drill a hole in the Delta's body so that the Zeus feed block will line up where the original feed block was and then put a screw into the block and tighten it down it will completely eliminate that terrible piercing assembly that the Delta comes with. It actually makes the Delta very reliable
