    Vector Victor?

A quick look showed Vector questions showing up in Ask The Experts. A few more shouldn't hurt to badly. If there is a better place then mods please move this thread.

It's been a while since I was last a field regular. I generally have run back bottle mechs. That said, my Vectors all appear to be Thruster ready... i.e. no built in way to regulate velocity. I was able to acquire several NOS ThunderPig externally adjusted female/male regs which probably need rebuilds. (Supposed to be very similar to Sheridan, uhm, RG1?) Would these be ok if rebuilt?

I am not married to back bottle, just what I was used to. (VM68, Puma, Cat, ProLite) How do you have your Thruster Ready Vector set up? Is your choice readily available or is there a modern equivalent?

    Are you running remote?

These have never been silent stalkers, so embrace that element. NOXX Loudeners have been highly recommended in the past. Are they still available? If so, where? If not, then what do you recommend that is available?

Are those special O-rings available? Where? If not, do any of you make the conversion machining? Or... would it be best to have a competent local machinist do it to avoid possible loss/damage in shipping?

I should have some elbows in the boxes of gear. Again, recommendations? I have no vertical feed barrels.

    Anything I am missing?

I run my vector on regular basis ... It's one of (if not #1) favorite semi ever made!

For velocity, there is a grub screw in the asa that compress the valve spring (you need to remove the tank to get to it)
The run perfect velocity with a HPA tank 👍

The once in a while I run it on CO2, I use a remote with an on-line pps cart reg to make sure no CO2 makes it to the gun.

I run mine with a NOX, but FYI, the vector barrel is a tad above 1" so most louder will need to be machined to fit.

Spare special orings? ... No, make your own or mod the gun to take off the shelf orings ... If it doesn't leak, don't touch it ...
Shameless plug: I have screw kits if you need.

Any elbow will work, offset feed are the best 😋

Let me know if you have anymore questions about the Vector.
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

As far as I can tell, none of my Vectors have self adjusting screws, thus Thruster Ready which requires external regulation of some sort.

      Where do you find loudeners?

Make your own O-rings? How? Do you shave down the next size up?

Dam, you might have to shim the valve spring then ...

There are a few barrel manufacturers that makes loudner, but they're all round ... Could 3D print a noxx style loudner (I thought about making a few aluminum, but I'm not sure there would be interest ...)

For orings, there is ways, it depend of what size and what is available to you ... But it's a pain no matter what ...

I have a Model C with a female Stabilizer in a cage on the bottom of the grip connected by macroline to a plug feeding into the rear ASA.

Is there a relatively short female to male regulator that is externally adjustable? (In case those Thunderpigs dont work for me.) I appear to only own Thruster Ready Model B Vectors.

No, I didn't make it out to play. Why do you ask? (I can hear the silent question as you avoid looking in the mirror
