Fixing HPA tanks

Fixing HPA tanks: I was told there is no requirement to test hpa alluminum tanks. I have 3 that leak (probably burst disk or fill nipples)
I would like to fix and sell these tanks assuming they have value.

Working aluminum HPA tanks that are used have probably $50 CAD value max. If it only has 5 or fewer years till end of life, more like $20-25 CAD.

If they're 2" diameter then the tanks should be fine. Rebuild the regs and you're good to go. Anything bigger than that requires a hydro test though.

Regardless of what Transport Canada says, it's still up to the individual field as to what their fill policy is. I would assume they have little value untested and proceed accordingly.

Transport Canada (our version of the DOT) has ruled that any tank under 1L/61cu.in. does not require periodic hydrotesting during its lifespan.
