Extreme Rage swivel elbows- any way to repair?

I bought a pack of Extreme Rage 90 degree aluminum swivel elbows from I&I during one of their innumerable liquidation sales and to my mild disappointment both of them immediately oozed sticky goo and leaked when I tried using them.

Is there any way to rebuild or repair these things or are they toast once their factory seals go?

From what I've heard no. I was looking for a swivel elbow so I could switch an Automag valve between guns with different air setups.

It would be nice if someone made them based on the Nummech/CCM banjo design.

Why not just use regular elbows, then?

They're shiny, they're short horizontally, and I've already got them.

I was kind of happy to use them because the extra vertical length meant they would have been ideal for getting a quick disconnect to clear the side of the shark sight rail on my Minimag.

You have access to a cnc or lathe? From what I can tell, they are swaged together. So if you were able to carefully turn the shoulder off of the inner piece off, the threaded collar would fall off. Then you would have to shorten the threads by an equal amount. replace the seals. Then re swage them together. Probably more work than its worth, but I think its possible.. lol

There are extended length brass elbows - i have a couple on my Mags.

@BrickHaus has it- they're swaged at the end, and not rebuildable except destructively.

They were a good idea, but they used the cheapest o-rings and at this point they're all starting to break down.

If you do end up using these, or a similar style, be careful how much of the air line you thread into it. The air hole on these elbows is only about ¼" in, and it's really easy to block it with the hose threads, causing sudden and strange shootdown issues. This happened to me, and it had me scratching my head for a little while. It was there only time I ever experienced shootdown on an RT Automag. Lol
