LED angel battery alternative. Angels with good boards

So, I know how to make the battery for the angel LED but I was browsing the Amazon and found this.

I they seem to be the same battery with the correct diameter for the LED. It appears to be a case of simply cutting two cells out, re-solder and change the connection.

Any one with airsoft might have a better idea how the wires are ran that could cause problems getting the battery into the tube, but anyway....THOTS?

It might work. I can’t see the entire battery to tell, just order and return if it doesnt fit? Good idea. Just double check the leads. + is + and - is -. I ordered individual cells and got the shrink wrap from batteries plus. I made 2, and ordered 2. I got one complete battery off eBay that someone bought off east coast angel but ended up not needling it. LED Angels are the sickest. I have 2 LED and 2 LCD.

I salvaged the long flat metal negative lead bar from the previous battery that was in the LCD. Make sure to wear gloves. Nickel metal hydride and cadmium aren’t the best hand lotions.

Let us know if you go this route and it works. My LED was holding a charge but its been a while so I may need a new one sometime.

I built a battery for an Angel, but the batteries I used were too tight a fit, so it would sheer the wire when inserted into the body. Batteries alone did fit. Make sure to leave a little extra room!

it IS tight. made the same battery and used tiny little leads and the thin shrink wrap. still wouldnt fit. removed the shrink wrap and it was TIGHT. had to remove the shrink wrap from each cell, and wrap it as one long battery. thin it fit iirc.
if you dont have a thin metal lead, then forget it.

those two look the same. am i missing something?

This website took 3 months and a few emails to get my battery. Credit card waa charged instantly funny enough. Battery worked, but it is Tenercells.

If the battery tube in the angel has build up from previous battery leaking then you need to clean the cavity with something. Sandpaper, flat head screw driver, I used an combination of a screw driver and sandpaper.

On my older LED the battery cavity was full of white crud. I got that out (mostly) and the battery went right in. I had the same issues fitting my homemade DIY battery. Cleaning the battery tube cavity on the angel was my solution.

Superman is correct. Save yourself the time, headache and money in the long run. Buy pre-made from Angel Paintball Parts. Maybe email him for an shipping ETA if your in a rush. My post sounded harsh, but I meant He’s busy and is doing this as a side business so don’t expect Amazon delivery speeds. I was very pleased with what I got. After making 2 batteries DIY from scratch, I was thankful to receive the already made battery from Angel Paintball Parts.

All said and done, ordering the Battery from Angel Paintball Parts is the way. I’m just extra “Brad/ECA” paranoid. I also got some blacked out hardware and an o ring kit from angel paintball parts. Part of my discontent stemmed from having an LED in parts on my desk waiting for that battery. At that point I didn’t know what additional work the LED needed so I was anxious to rule out the electrical system.
