Does the Inception Gentle touch ram work similarly to a ram with qevs on it?

Considering throwing some gold clippard qevs on my new 04 “inceptioned” prostock but would it be worth it considering the inception rams function?

I don’t know exactly how it is different only that inception claims it is smoother/gentler than traditional rams. Does that mean it is potentially faster?

No its speed should be functionally the same as any other well functioning ram. The QEV's will speed it up, I suppose on the return cycle having a QEV might make it move faster = have more energy = potential to break more paintballs.

I have a gentle touch on an Autococker, and QEVs on another stock brass ram, and I honestly don't notice a difference between either. The Gentle Touch just happens to look good on my nice Autococker; and I put brass Clippard QEVs on my sleeper Autococker just for the hell of it.

So basically, save your money.

I’ve used the Inception rams with and without QEVs and I’ve never noticed any performance gain with QEVs. With future builds I’m planning to save money and go without QEVs.

The Inception ram is easily my favorite ram. The spot on the shaft to turn it with a wrench is a really nice touch, and it’s really easy to disassemble.
