    O ring colors and sizes

2 questions here, I'm looking to stock up on some rings

    1) for as568 sizes, is there any standard for which colors are for which sizes?

    2) I'm looking to put a case of metric rings together, thinking 1mm and 2mm CS

What sizes do you think I should get in there?

No clue if the coloured orings are standardized, but I wouldn't bother with them.

For metric orings I would check the sizes of common guns that have metric orings (Minis, TGRs and maybe Angels?). Metric orings vary pretty greatly in size even in the same gun. At least with inch orings they tend to stick to the 000 series, but with metric the cross sectional sizes can be all over the place (1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, etc.). A good starting point might be to pick up a metric oring kit from Harbour Freight. Half the orings will be way too large for your application but you will get a good variety to start you off.

Colored orings are basically junk.... The additives make them wear faster

Also agree. They fail much more frequently.

I've been buying from here for years: https://www.theoringstore.com/store

Easy to navigate, informative with good resources, always get my order right, shipped/delivered quickly, and all o-rings are packaged by size and well labeled.

Sorry, it was a poor response to help with your first question.

The following link breaks down their colored sizes.

            Now that one helps, thanks.

Also interesting because I shot them an email basically asking the same two questions and they just replied saying there was no standard for which color is used for which size
