I was dumb and cracked my Sniper sled. Purchased a new sled from paintballgateway.com; the only place I could find one. It came unthreaded. Purchased a 10-32 tap. Holes were already larger than a #21 drill. Going very slowly, one side still cracked while tapping. The other side was very loose after I threaded it with the tap I purchased, so I assume the threaded OEM part is tight on the H/L scale for threads to keep the pump arms from unthreading during play. This is also the reason I don't want to go above a #21 tap drill to prevent cracking. It'll only weaken the already loose threads.
I've e-mailed paintballgateway.com to check their inventory for a threaded one. Hoping to get a factory threaded part or a couple spares to try to tap myself. I assume any NOS is susceptible to cracking simply based on age of the plastic.
Questions for sled:
1. Anyone know if the part is supposed to come threaded or unthreaded?
2. Anyone have a 3D print file for this part? Might just need to make my own sled if the ones available aren't going to work.
Thank you,
Nathan
