    Cerakote a barrel

I may want to have a stainless barrel done in a solid black but worry about the internal bore getting messed up if something gets through the port holes. I'm not super familiar on the process but I would imagine someone who knows what they're doing would do it right...right?

Not if they know what they're doing! It should be fine.

They block that all off before they spray if done properly

I think shooter311 had a complete mag and barrel cerakote by Barefoot
wondering the same thing since I am thinking about it (but on an aluminum barrel)

I'd definitely be going with Barefoot if I decide to do it

Then you will be fine. Just make sure you tell them to insure the barrel bore stays untouched.

The first marker I had barefoot coat. He told me he would spray the inside and out of the barrel and assured me it would be fine. I told him I would feel a lot better if he taped it all off. So he did. After feeling the cerakote is seemed actually pretty slick. So I had him do a micromag with a rifled armson barrel and he coded the inside and I haven't had any problems with that at all. So it's up to you which route you would want to go.

That Armson barrel is large bore isn’t it so it probably helps it functionally wise.
      Working...
