How fast have you seen an inception gtr ram run bps wise?

Not for tournaments obviously but I like occasional uncapped semi for open play and if inception rams are as fast as eclipse then I’d save a lot of money.

Just want to get an idea of their speed and how much faster eclipse with qevs or palmers quickers can cycle. Thanks.

I don’t want to brag, but I think I can hit like 6-7 bps easy.

All joking aside I use the GTR ram on a lot of my e-blade autocockers. Normally I just run “Factory fast” settings which is about 12 bps, but I’d guess (not based on anything scientific) on a well tuned E-blade using a GTR ram without QEVs could do about 18-19 bps and maybe a couple bps more with QEVs.

Between Eclipse, Inception, and palmers you can’t really go wrong.

I run a empire ressy ram on my e cocker that consistently hits 12s without problem. I would expect anything from inception would be at or around there at a minimum

I am currently running a GTR ram on a midblocked dye reflex with an MQ2 valve. It is currently programmed to ramp up to 15bps and it took some tweaking to get it there but I think that is more because of the peculiarities of the MQ2 setup than the ram itself. My issue was velocity dropoff at higher BPS which I diagnosed as being caused by the bolt not being all the way forward in time for the ball to fire. I should also say I am running a really low LPR pressure since I don't have to overcome the hammer spring (hence the MQ2 peculiarities). As a result to get up to speed, I had 3 choices: Change board timing which would lower BPS, increase LPR pressure which would make it cycle faster but give more kick and potential ball breakage, add a QEV.

I chose to add a QEV on the retract side which got me to 15bps running a really low LPR pressure. I know that doesn't really answer the question but might give some considerations for how to go fast.

Also for what its worth, modern cell phone high speed cameras are great for diagnosing cocker timing issues.

The ram is generally not the bottleneck to high BPS rates. If it has QEV's on it, use it.

Thanks for unintentionally answering a question I was about to post: Whether anyone used a QEV on only one side of their ram in order to get quicker retraction at a low LPR setting while using the slower venting on the other side to soften the motion.
