Best cheap poppit electro?

Etek 4 or 5 all day. The ETEK 5 is an insanely good value for money. It's just basically a non-lever LV1/1.1. They are easy to set up and once set up just chug along forever and never miss a beat. Don't even consider any others.

Now if you're looking for something niche and you don't mind having it randomly go down or have issues then by all means look at something like ICD or even better a Bob Long defiant or gen 3 timmy. BUT you said "best" and that would be an ETEK 4 or 5 as "the best" for budget.

I have a line on a Dangerous Power F7. I'm glad these are considered as some of the better in the category.

On the nostalgic side, I might still keep my eyes open for an ICD. If I knew they would still be considered good now, I would have kept my BKO.

I think it's a genuine issue with the Mini. I've killed one, and the second is getting sticky. I got it moving again last weekend with a new battery but it doesn't take too long for a new on to start getting finicky

The good news is they are cheap, around $30, so it's not a big deal to keep a spare even after the warranty expires. Overall I like the gun a lot

Maybe I better grab an extra, then... I haven't had any issues yet, maybe because it's a first gen?

The only issue I usually have is the poppit getting sticky if i didn't break the gun down and grease everything the night before.

Depends on what you define as cheap, but I’ve had an Etek5 as one of my go-to loaner markers for years now and it’s never given me or anybody else any issues.

Maintenance is super simple. A little oil on the bolt and rammer every couple of cases will keep it going for a long time.
