That AFT is done in the PTP Wild Tiger pattern. I wonder if forest_ptp might have some insight on it.Last edited by wthomas333; 07-27-2023, 10:58 PM.

Did they ever do a red and black in the same pattern?

Literally just got these from my coworker like 2 hours ago, still at work. Just did some research Russell Maynard was an OG from back in the day. The guy that gave me these guns was one of the first ballers in Maryland and an original member of North American Paintball Referee Association. I am pretty stoked to get these things and to be completely honest, until about 2 hours ago I had no idea I was gonna be given these markers. Totally blown away.

Sniper II is from circa. 1990. I love the Black Ghost, I have seen some Black "Grey Ghost" marked LAPCOs but this is the first image I have seen of one actually being labeled "Black Ghost". I would love to have one to add to my LAPCO collection I have no idea how many were made black with the Black Ghost name..
So my mind was not slipping, Mark Stiffler along with Reggie Denner were the founders of NAPRA. I had more contact with Reggie then Mark back in the NAPRA days. The NAPRA connection makes sense in your story. Reggie lived up around DC/Maryland back in the early 90s I lost track of Reggie when NAPRA started declining and I went back to sea (subs) after a stint teaching.Last edited by Grendel; 07-26-2023, 07:22 PM.

So a bit of a story, Fred is a 72 year old coworker friend of mine who only works because his wife passed a few years ago and he doesnt want to sit at home. He has worked at this company for 42 years. He rides motorcycles and horses and collects AMC Eagles. He has 9 in his yard. I bought a 2021 Ninja 400 from him to teach the wife to ride and as a commuter. I see what looks like dried up paintball shots on his barn door thats under an awning so it didnt get washed away. I tell him that, he says they are and we dive into a 2 hour talk about paintball. He used to play with Bud Orr and Mark Stiffler and a few of the old school dudes when he was in the Navy in San Diego. I tell him about my 25 years of playing and that was that. Occasional conversations about paintball and then today he shows up with an old school military footlocker with these in them and says, these are yours. I was besides myself.... still am.

Here's the rub.....he entrusted you with his collection.
Don't go selling them on eBay.Last edited by Ecapnation; 07-26-2023, 03:25 PM.

^^^^^^ 100%. I am someone who appreciates things like this. These will be rebuilt and used at big games. Ill loan them out to some peeps and then let them shoot something like my CS2 or Emek so they can see how far this sport has come. I still have my first spyder from 1998. I did sell my sl68 to get the spyder though. Kinda regret that still. It was my first "good" gun.

You definitely made a windfall, I am glad to hear you want to get them running and use them. Especially since you want to also let others use them! I am not a wall hanger collector mine need to be able to be used and used.
Here is a little information about Mark Stiffler, Reggie Denner and NAPRA:
