GoPro hero 11 black mini accessories question

    Hey folks,

My family got me a GoPro Hero 11 Black Mini for my birthday, and I am looking for suggestions for accessories to protect and utilize it properly for paintball.

For mounts I was thinking the standard HK goggle camera mount and for a case it seems the only OEM protective case available is the dive camera housing.

ChuckLove has also recommended I get a spare battery, which I will take into consideration. Any and all advice is appreciated!

If you want a cheaper alternative to the HK goggle mounting points, aluminum "skydiving" mounts work nicely for most goggles.

You'll probably want at least a couple spare batteries. I typically go through 4-5 in a full day of play, and need to use external power banks if I'm at a scenario game.

As for protection, I've found that the diving cases tend to cause overheating, especially in summer, even if you drill them full of holes.
Dunno about the 11, but here's the solution I've worked out for my GoPro 8: https://www.reddit.com/r/gopro/comme...for_paintball/

For non-paintball uses I'd recommend getting one of these kits with various accessories so that you can try them all out and find which ones you actually like. For the price of one OEM accessory you basically get all of them. In my experience, the headstrap mount and a small tripod for time lapses are the most useful.

I think you already know my preferences here. Head strap especially for stock class/stick feeds. Or paintball DNA Grill/E-Flex side mount.

I do not love how the head strap felt so I want to try the direct mask mount first. I may get the flex mount since I actually have a flex now. Much love

That one Dan gave me to use that loops on your goggle strap is cool I was surprised how sturdy it was. If only I knew how to turn it on properly. lol

Pov wise. I never liked the top of the head view for videos. as ugly as it looks in person. I always thought the face mounted method Midnight Angel's used to do was a great view.

I also liked contours for the strap mount option. though it ruins left handed shooting views. The mask lens being in the shot was always cool to me also.

I think Murph uses the in-mask mount. Maybe I’ll have to try it!

I don’t use an in mask mount. I use the top of mask mount with an aluminum extender and mount the gopro upside down in front of my forehead

For my contour. I ended up epoxying a mount to a dedicated hard ear. If you can find a 90* mount then fab it to a mask ideally a spectra mask, it would give you a solid side face view.

Db1060 what was that mount you handed me at Slims? It’s cool how easy it is to take on and off seemed pretty stable too.

I got a barrel mount you can have. I would change the hardware so it’s less intrusive. But I’m throwing it in the tool box for yah remind me at ReeperBall.
