    Tiberius T9 Won’t Fire

Trying to fix a guy’s Tiberius T9 but not having any luck. I’ve pulled it apart as it as missing a trigger spring. Got that installed, throw in a clip with air, it seals but when you pull the trigger nothing happens. No real sound of it airing up either.

I’ve since taking apart the reg, gave it a visual inspection, oiled it and put it all back together making sure the bolt was slid forward before attaching the reg. But still same problem. I don’t have any balls in the mag, but it should at least cycle, right? Any insight would be appreciated.

Is the regulator open enough for it to get air?

Check the puncture pin in the mag and the one inside the grip to make sure neither are broken or blocked off somehow.

I’ll try and blast some air through to ensure a cease passage. I’d expect it to leak over no air at all, but a blockage cause easily be the issue.

If I recall. Theres a specific position the bolts gotta be in, either forward slightly, or back. I wanna say it has to be forward. Its been years since I worked on tiberius markers. But I recall that detail causing me the same issue.

I’ve tried the bolt all the way forward without success. Maybe I should try the bolt in a different position

This is what I was going to mention as well. Same with me it's been years but if the bolt is not in the correct spot when you put it together it will seal up but not fire

    I hate those things though

Ya the bolt must be forward of the seer. Otherwise it will never fire. When you put it back together push the bolt forward about an inch and it should be good.
If it still does not fire, the trigger assembly is not correct.

I'll try and space the bolt a little bit back instead of fully forward and see if that helps. I'm just surprised that there is no leaking, it just stays dead.

Cuda, when you put the 12 gram in the magazine, do you screw it down and do you feel/hear the 12 gram get pierced? Usually the valves in the magazine go first and you get CO2 spewing everywhere. That being said, if you have a nice aired up magazine, when you insert the magazine, you will hear the gun pressure up. When you eject the mag, you will also hear the pressured chamber dump, and the pressure should actually assist you with ejecting the magazine. If that is not happening at all, I would examine the valve assembly in the magazine.

Zenmic, Yes the mag pressurizes in and out of the marker. I had been used a mag wth an unknown amount of air but switched to a branch new 12 gram. It pierced no problem and depressurized upon ejecting as well so it looks like I can eliminate the mag as the source of trouble.

Okay that takes the mag out of the mix. As it has been explained to me, the internal of the Tiberius T8.x and T9.x are an over engineered Automag. Like the Automag, they are blow forwards, so that means the bolt needs to be forward, when re-assembling. The last two components you should be putting back in place should be the bolt spring and the barrel.

The magazine connect to the "engine" of the gun through that "pin" in the gun which is visible when you look down the magazine well. The "pin" fits to the valve in the magazine. The "pin" is essentially a hollow tube, but it is possible that it can get crap trapped in there, preventing the gas to pass into the "engine" of the gun. In the 9.1 Constant Air kits, there is even a solid pin as a replacement, so that that air path is blocked. That might be a next step to check.

The more more common issues with the Tiberius T8.x and T9.x are the O-ring seals get blown and worn out.

Thanks, that'll help me out a bit. The one I'm working on is a T9, not even a T9.1. The guy who bought it didn't listen to my advice and bought it anyways. My next thing to check the pin/valve that goes into the mag as there could be a chance someone swap it out the solid tip accidently.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Got it to fire finally! Looks like the bolt liked to slide back on me during reassembling and the trigger mechanism was jammed with crud. Took it all apart, cleaned it up, got it back together and doubled checked the bolt stayed forward, and now fires.
