Old BT TM7 Repair

Hey everyone, I've been lurking the subs for a while. What an incredible community!

I have an old BT TM7 paintball marker that hasn't worked since 2016. I'm pretty sure it's the solenoid, and I remember going through a couple of them when I played regularly. I must have been doing something that was making them break, but I'm not sure what.

Does anyone know if there's a way to fix these old solenoids, or anywhere I can buy one?

Pretty much need to replace the solenoid. There’s an upgraded one that’s hard to find. Some of the big BT parts kit mights have them. I found a couple extra first gen solenoids in my oring collection but no idea if they work.

If you have the old style solenoid, you can unscrew the silver part from the black base and replace it with a new Axe/Mini solenoid.

If you have the "upgraded" single piece solenoid you can always try to rebuild it by unscrewing the end cap, removing the core, and replacing the o-rings.

They went through a couple iterations and generations of solenoid so my memory is foggy.

If it one of the original solenoids, I remember taking it apart, inspecting the orings, and clean the internals with rubbing alcohol. DONT lube it. Dry as a desert.

Youll burn out these solenoids by dry firing it. Avoid that.

Good luck, you might get by with cleaning out the noid but don't get your hopes up, and if you do find a noid their usually $90 new, I'd get the v2 noid if I were to buy one that way the noid can be replaced with regular ones from the mini, got sold a working marker that showed up with a dead noid(damn FB lol) and it's been sitting since, it's pretty much an $80 paper weight

What? The noid doesn't know if there's paint in the breach or not. You're going to have to explain that one

Trbo323 Maybe he means without air? Iv been in PB 18 years and have never heard anything like this either

My bad, I mispoke. Dry firing a TM-7 is all good.

You dont want to fire the TM-7 without air. I was a member of bt warrior forum and remember it being talked about.

Nah I traded it off, was pretty much a dead marker
