    Shocker Sport Velocity Issue

Looking for a bit of advice from the shoebox shocker experts... I've got a shocker sport with the LS board, gun seems to be working well but velocity is sitting at 250 ish with the odd shot getting into the 260s. Fresh battery, pressure close to 200, and the 'fire' pot is in the orange. Interestingly, there was no change in velocity when timing was adjusted from the middle range to max dwell. Reading through the manual it looks like I need to clean the fire solenoid? Any other suggestions?

you adjust the velocity by the regulator, iirc the maxflow that came with them were designed so that it couldn't over pressurize the marker. It would vent at to a high a pressure to avoid blowing the noids.

Simple question but are using the factory All American barrel or a freak system. The original barrel's are much larger in the bore department and would effect the velocity

They had no trouble getting to 300 fps when paint was large, but with the stock ~.690 barrels they can struggle without a tighter barrel bore.

I would clean and grease the noid spool orings as per the guide since it hasn't been done in a while, just because it's needed.

Thanks for the responses. Input pressure is set about as high as I'd want to go, close to 200 psi from the maxflo, so adjusting the dwell was the only other option to try. I'm using a freak barrel with an insert tight enough to prevent rollouts so low velocity due to overboring is not an issue. I think it's time to clean the solenoid valves, the marker is new-to-me and probably hasn't had a good tear-down in awhile, I've lubed the bolt but noticed some old grease in spots when I was adjusting the board settings.

          Any blowback up the feedneck?
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Not that I've noticed, but I wasn't really looking for it... are you thinking maybe the bolt dwell is too short and therefore it's not giving a full 'push' to the ball? I'll have another look, I think I set the bolt dwell to the middle setting but I'll check it out.

Exactly what my thought was... might be just what you need.

Did you check out zdspb.com yet? There's a great Shocker Sport troubleshooting section on there.

I've taken a look at zdspb.com on a few occasions, there's a lot of good info there... good reminder, I'll check to see if there's anything there re the velocity issue.

Another question that is also a simple one but you never know. You running at least 800 Psi into that shooter. They were released to run on CO2

Fair point on the CO2, but the maxflo reg is taking the tank pressure down to 190ish psi and feeding the gun, so it shouldn't matter what the tank output is as long as the maxflo is feeding the gun at the right pressure?
