I was shooting some of my markers today and was using a 17ci tank. On my T2 I would always shoot 250 rounds before the tank wouldn’t empty. However I just shot my trilogy for 3 pods roughly 340 rounds. Idk how it’s possible. Am I delusional or is the trilogy really the best marker ever made?

The ccm recipe of heavy hammer and light valve spring doesn't make for a super efficient marker, sure does make it feel nice tho. Having all of the important bits aftermarket to get those results disqualifies the trilogy as best ever imo. YOUR trilly tho, maybe? More of a preference type thing than anything

Very true there it’s definitely not stock lol. I just always thought Ccm markers were the most efficient. I hear a bunch of hoopla and people fanboying. Not to say they’re not good markers, build quality is top notch.

CCMs aren't built for efficiency since most people shoot theirs OC. They don't have BAD efficiency, but like Kyle said they're tuned for shot feel and smoothness more than anything.

This is how I feel as well. They tuned their guns for pump performance, not efficiently. Top tier efficiently supposedly requires relatively heavy springs, from what I've read. AKA's cocker springs are pretty heavy. CCM spring's tension shocked me when I ordered a few sets of theirs years ago.

Plus CCM bolts don't have o-rings and usually fit pretty loosely in the breech (can see gaps) which also might have something to do with it

Is your CCM sweet spotted?
Do you use AT a lot?
If the timing is off you will get a lot of blow by. But CCM are not super efficient. Tuning and timing them makes a big difference tho. They are built to be smooth with a very light pump stroke. This type of tuning keeps the valve open longer using more air on each shot.
I wouldn’t add Orings to a CCM bolt. There are aftermarket bolts you can buy that have orings already on them. This way you can put it back to stock when you realize it’s a mistake.

Tec T Hush Bolt has orings. It will make the pump stroke stiffer and feel notchey. Keep the stock bolt as finding another one will be hard and the majority of People buying a CCM is going to want the stock bolt if you ever decide to sell it. You can buy a Hush bolt for sub $50 people buy them and take them out pretty regularly. They don’t create a quieter shot contrary to the name. You have to keep them oiled often trapping sand and dirt making a nice lapping paste sanding your Ano down on the breach that would otherwise bow out on a dry self lubricating Delrin bolt. A lot of the Tec T markers have excessive breach wear. Not a functional issue it just looks like it was used and abused more. Honestly stick with the stock bolts on the CCM’s especially if you play in dirty conditions with a half block like a T2 /S6.5. If you don’t have a Slot Blocker get one of those instead.
