Can you do anything with a dead tank?

Hey y'all, got an old 45/4500 tank that's dead/out of hydros not sure what to do with it. Reg seems to be in working order. Tank holds air (used it in a pinch at field) but I have no use for it. Worth selling or giving away to strip for parts? I have a neoprene cover as well. Pics if interested

*Edit it's a carbon fiber tank

Pull the reg and re use it.

I have a literal tote of old tanks.

Some have made goblets, Xemon on the forum made one into a freak insert case which is pretty nice.

Other than that. I'm not sure. I don't think they recycle easily.

I saw someone cut about a third off of one, fill it with something (concrete?), and use it as a display stand. But I usually sell dead ones on here for cheap. No clue what these guys want with them.

Ecapnation paintballs such a small world. If you’re at any of the New York/pa/nj events I might run into you.

My freak case is here (I need to post some update to it):
Hello y'all, After Trying to get hurt on the lathe (https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/custom/custom-projects-custom-questions/301940-trying-to-get-hurt-on-the-lathe-%F0%9F%98%85) I had to do something with the tank. So here is the beginning of the project: freak insert case! after a few prints, here is the proof in concept:

Aluminum (flat bottom) one makes great heavy duty cup for the shop.

I'm considering turning one into a desk lamp. Haven't found the time, yet.

I would not “give it away” since it’s just going to end up exploding on someone else. Same thing goes for any “markets oversees”. Foreigners are human too, so are kids too poor to afford nice new stuff.

I hate to sound like an 8th grade shop teacher but…a lot of people never took 8th grade shop apparently!

It’s garbage, btw. Recycle the reg and throw the tank in the trash. In the future when questions like this you can also email the manufacturer. They should have some sort of prepared statement to cover their ass in situations like this. That same statement will cover your own ass so it’s a safe bet to follow.

When I worked at a shop, any tank that failed hydro or came in out of time was given back to the customer with a hole drilled in it so they wouldn't try to get it filled somewhere else.

This went for old CO2 tanks as well.

Got a pic? I'm gathering a few, if I like them and they're cheap.

Depending on how much space is inside you could make a piggy bank for coins
