Inception EZ ASA not engaging Brass Ninja V2

    Stupid question for you guys.

I have an Inception EZ asa on my Pump that won't play nice with my brass Ninja V2 reg on one of my tanks. The tank works just fine on my Emek with POPSs, and the Inception asa works just fine with every other tank I own. As far as I can tell, the pins in both the tank and the asa are just a bit too short to properly interface with each other. My other tanks seem to have longer pins. the tank's output pressure is set to 400 psi so it's not that. Is there a cheap fix or should I just swap my ASA to something like a pops?

    Thanks!

What about buying a new pin for the ninja reg?

Yeah I'd measure the pin and compare to the others to start with

My asa has the star nut version!

Kanto already answered, but I believe ID ships the EZ ASA with star plugs by default.

Look at the brass part the asa pin protrudes out of. If the face is flat, then you need that part I posted a link to

I'm hoping to not have to degass the tank, but will if needed. The Ninja Reg is a brand new, and the Inception asa is very new too so unless there's an manufacturing defect, I don't think replacing parts will do much. I'm gonna break down the ASA when I clean my gun tonight, but it did work all day yesterday with a different brand tank.

I assume your Ninja reg has a pin and not the ball valve, right? I haven't tried this myself, but if you have spare pin valve orings (the small Teflon ones), maybe you can try filing/sanding/grinding down one side of it. This would cause the Ninja reg pin to protrude slightly further out from the reg and maybe engage with the ASA pin.

Again, I haven't tried this myself but if you have a spare seal in case you ruin one, this could be worth a shot.

I had the same issue. I reached out to Inception and they sent me a different brass piece and it worked great with my ninja reg. I would reach out to Simon.

You could also use a tank reg extender. I had issues with the first version of the v2 reg working with a resurrection asa and that fixed it.

Reaching out to Simon is the way to go. He designed his ASAs on the assumption that tank reg manufacturers would actually follow the standard specs for valve pin clearances, and that has not been the case. He has replacement pins to correct that.

Just closing the loop on this, I reach out to inception and ordered a longer pin. ASA now works flawlessly. Thank you for all the advice
