    Detents for Viper M1 semi?

I picked up a viper M1 and I must have lost the wire detent on the barrel.
Does anyone know if these were proprietary or are there any standard ones out there?

Its a straight wire detent held in by a ring. I am going to make one if I cant find one.

I'm pretty sure @Magageddon has a Viper M1. If so, maybe he could post some pics.

Not anymore... I bought it from him

Edit: Unless he is hiding more!

I have one that I can get pics & measurements on later today. Not sure if they are proprietary or not, but would be interested in finding out.

Here's mine. The rear end looks like it has been manipulated with pliers at some point. I'm pretty sure that .140" measurement originally matched the .115" at the forward end of the "hump".

Awesome! Thank you. I have some 0.028 spring steel that I bought a couple years ago. Hopefully that will work

With the ever shrinking paint a lot of those detents needed a little tweaking to hold paint in place, especially with a force feed loader.

Spare parts are extremely rare for those old Vipers, even though they made them for a surprisingly long time.

Just eyeballing it in the barrel, I'm sure Fubarius is spot on.

I only recently acquired mine and haven't put paint through it yet. Mine came with a piece of aluminum tape in the breech that holds the ball closer to the detent side. If I were making one from scratch I'd aim for something taller than factory.
