Dw hair v1 vs v2 vs v2.2

Obviously the aluminum body vs the printed body but I'm hoping some of you guys have experience with 2 or maybe even all3 versions. What's the difference in the 2 to 2.2? I saw something about the return force on the trigger so how does it feel?

I have a 1st Gen one with the aluminum housing on my early emek. It’s never let me down and has won me a bunch of podium finishes. I got 100s of cases through it at this point. It fast AF! I run a pen spring trigger return with an infamous adjustable trigger. I put the safety on adjusted the trigger right up to it and backed it off enough so the safety still works.

My Wife’s emek has the PE upgrades and inception trigger it’s a stiffer pull not a fast light or short a pull as my DW setup. I should switch out the trigger spring and see if I can lighten it up. But she don’t shoot it like that anyway.

There's not much about the 2.2 other than I saw the image for the V2 on ANS says 2.2 on it now.

I've used original and the V2. I can't remember how the original felt compared to the V2, but it will be close. The V2 I had leaked slightly at first and also there was a noticable dip in efficiency. I prefer the FL 3 way over the DW, but currently just have the stock valve with Bang Switch and honestly it's a very happy medium, especially for not costing a lot. Using the Emach trigger as well which is the first ever aftermarket trigger and still only $20.

I would Change out the orings on the bang switch I have seen a lot of issues they are all oring related.

Yep already swapped the yellow ones out for the Eclipse ones

Yeah that's kind of what started this whole thing. I saw in the description that it mentioned the return force was not greater and I didn't know if that was the change or if it was always that way

Nice find. I went and found the post, here is what DW says is different

James Casey This V2.2 has the spool orings directly integrated into the body of the valve, instead of being part of a separate housing. This eliminates some additional static seals so overall should be more robust!

Honestly I'm not sold on it. Look at the two red o rings in the photo. Especially that one towards the air transfer looks like it will be an absolute pain to replace. Not too mention, that is now a dynamic o ring inside a printed part and sealing to the printed surface. Not sure I'm a fan of that. I might just do the v1 after all

I just went ahead and ordered a v1 tonight. Just a lot less of a question mark in my book for longevity. Maybe that extra $20 won't amount to anything in the long run but if it amounts to acting then it's money we'll spent to me
