So like most people’s eggs, all of mine save maybe one have broken lids and/or battery doors and it got me thinking, has anyone 3D printed new bodies to drop the egg guts into? I know PBDNA has a 3D printed hopper (the Mojo) that takes revy guts but seems like if someone did that for egg guts it could save some volume in the landfills.

I emailed PBDNA to see if they would be interested in doing something right after I posted the original post and did mention making it 100 or 150 rd capacity but I just got his response. He said most eggs are in the dump already and he doesn't think he would make his design time back. So I responded asking how many he would need to sell and maybe we could do a pre-order type thing, ill keep ya updated but anyone know someone else that could tackle this project?Last edited by Super Nova; Today, 09:55 AM.Feedback: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/b...ova-s-feedback

Eggs always fed great but had problem "lids" that broke and a shell/neck that is very fragile. If it was updated to use standard lids/speedfeeds and made of a more durable material........

I really like the Eggy (I've got a bunch of 2's, a few 3's, one 4, and one day I hope to finally find an original first gen to complete the collection), which is why years back when a bunch of NOS 2/3 shells popped up on eBay for cheap, I bought them all. The 4 fixed the shell problems, but keep the weird lid, and really was a drunken love-child of a Eggy, VL Force, and VLocity. That said, the Valken V-Max is basically the modern Eggy in a better shell, and with a better lid design.

I’ve never had an egg, but often wondered what everyone thought about the balance. It’s the only “normal” loader (not q-loader and other unique designs) that isn’t relatively centered over the feedneck.

To be fair, while the egg is an extreme outlier (especially for its time) hoppers have shifted the balanced farther back over time as a whole. Of course you have the oil can and all that but on a 200 round hopper you start with the almost centered revy (and the predecessor that I am blanking on right now). The halo slightly shifts the paint distribution back, then the rotors/spires/etc show the hoppers being rather biased to the back.
The big thing with a lot of the hoppers biased to the back is that they end up being lower just from the design changes of the time so the balance feels a bit better simply because you don't have something as tall. Honestly thought I think tank weight provides a larger perceived weight difference as even a ninja lite vs SL2 tank feel massively different even though its only a few ounces.

*edit* If someone made a 100rnd eggy that took any type of internals I would enjoy running it.

Someone can buy mine? I’m not overly attached.
Everything is $30 each shipped… except the Stanchy feedneck stub. That’s $10 shipped. 1. Egg eVLution 2. Works as it should. Battery door is cracked as is a few other screw locations. I tried to dye this thing black to blue when I was like 15, so go easy on me. 2. TechT Kush Bolt for Empire guns. Got it for my Syx I was going
