    Nelspot 007 Palmer Pursuit Upgrades

    Hello,

I had Palmer work in this before I went to college. It has been in storage ever since at my parents house. Before I lost this thing, what is this grip called? Also, what should I expect it to sell for?

it had the barrel honed, parts polished, nickel plated…etc.

That's pretty cool. never seen a Palmerized nelson anything let alone a Palermized Nel-spot. Assuming its pretty rare, saw very little use and was stored well i'd think it would have value. Can it shoot modern paint? Detents or wedgits in the barrel? That would add value. Assume needs new seals etc. Maybe 4-500 depending on its ability to handle small paint . I could be way off. curious what others say. You've come to the right place.

I wouldn't worry about "new seals"... it's not a Sheridan. Might still work perfectly.

Is that a drop out valve? You should get some more photos of the back end of that.

It is a drop out valve. I can take photos tomorrow.

It shoots modern paint. I had the barrel honed as one of the upgrades.

Honing would only potentially make the bore bigger and just shines the barrel. The main issue is rollouts with small modern paint. if Palmers added wedgits (3 little dents around the barrel visible from the outside just in front of the bolt in the forward position) that would be icing on the cake.

Iirc PPS doesn't wedgit thicker barrels so I'm doubting they did a nelspot

Could be the nickel added a few more microns to the barrel's ID.

I had some Nelspots a few years back that measured .684, and there's even some paint running .685 these days (Valken Graffiti last I played). Pretty cool, either way.

                      Is this standard paint then?
