I shouldn't but I'm leaning at getting an Emek and was wondering if the PAL is good or just looks good on paper? Thank you in advance.

Planet Eclipse: PAL - hype or good non battery hopper

It is pretty good. Especially for the price.
It is comparable to maybe an older revvy.
The only issue is if you skip a shot it doesn't agitate since it relies on back pressure to actuate the plunger.
edit: I both bought and kept one of each size to use sometimes and I certainly don't need them. So a definite thumbs up.

They work well, definitely worth the $12-15. I would say on par if not better than any of the best gravity only feeds. much less of the shake and bake to worry about. I used one solely for a month or two this spring. Only really felt out gunned on the hyperball field. I field that i play at on Saturdays we do gravity feed non electronic only for entry level/pump and just low stress fun day. So since it's not battery operated you can run a Pal and it works wonderful.

I really like the PAL. Honestly the PAL was what convinced me to switch from my enmey, as I didn't like having to use an electric loader to stop the enmey from chopping. The only time I've had problems with the PAL feeding was when I overfilled it. But, I don't usually do a long sustained stream of high-ROF, only short bursts, so YMMV.
