Should I try and trade my 170r for a Prime XTS?

Basically the short of it, I can't stand how chunky the grips are on my 170r. Hell, I don't really even like the shot on the 170r. Call me crazy, I know I'm not in the majority.

Anyway, you think the XTS is a fairly reliable marker? It looks like it's spaced out really well and the grips don't look nearly as big.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

Someone here, probably has an experience with both those markers. If you're patient, someone may have the time to explain or share that with you.

I have a Prime XTS. It's not PE reliable but it's not bad. I like the grips and layout better than my son's Etha 2. The grips are smaller than PE but bigger than my Shocker XLS. The front is also angle adjustable which might be helpful.

Sensitive to Orings though which causes bolt stick. Other than that I really haven't had any issues. Definitely not throw it in a bag and forget it like the Etha 2. But I also haven't had multiple reg leaks like my XLS.

Thanos shadow191, that's exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I'd rather a little bit of maintenance than bad ergonomics.

Hardly true any issues I've ever had with a drone 2 were handled pretty quick.

Eh, I have a G6R and an Autococker as well. I'm not really worried about minimal support, lol

Have you looked at PEs older stuff? As any of their markers get older they stop producing parts, pretty normal for any company but the difference is PEs stuff is so popular the remaining parts get bought up usually in a year or two. You get stuck either with a paperweight or buying a whole parts marker for one part.

I say Mac dev. I'm with you on the ergonomics. Ever since PE went to gas through grip for everything they have never felt good in my hands and pretty much everything PE feels soulless to shoot.

Soulless. That is the best description I've heard for it. I think it's settled. Guess I need to clean her up and post it to see what I can get.

You do you but I wouldn’t.

I liked my modified Emek better than my M170 so I kept that and still shoot it today.

I would try a Gmek they got more of an old school feel and will be way more reliable then the Max Dev markers.

It's a great marker. I recommend upgrading the seals with the ones immortal air offers(they are the US macdev headquarters).

Parts availability on these is great, immortal will have everything you need in 2-3 days shipping time since they are located in Chicago and the market is current. Parts from Australia are 2 weeks or less. Something you get with macdev is LONG term support. I can still get everything I need for my 07 cyborg out of their archive in Australia, outside grips. This includes solenoids and modern boards. No other brands can touch that kind of factory support. Last time I reached out down under, owner of the company answered my service ticket personally. Small business at its best. They are still kicking their reputation from a decade ago, don't listen to people who don't own their modern stuff or are part of the community.

The head US tech is located in Kansas. I have a borg with him now. They also just onboarded 5 or so dealers this winter across the US/ Canada. If you have Facebook, join the macdev BST. Community is very strong, and all the businesses and our lead tech are top contributors. Tech also answers all PMs for remote trouble shooting and resorts to shipping them in as a last resort. Immortal also does service.

XTS ergo is great, grips are soo much better then PE. It's shot is unique in feel. Unbalanced spool, 2 dynamic O-rings, shot kick horizontally straight back with 0 rise vertically. Sound signature is a bit loud, but I don't think you will mind any of this coming from a 170. Shift 3 barrel is top notch

Btw, 100% with you on the fat grips the PE's have. I wanted an LV2 until I held one. It shot great, but had more back then Mariah Carey. Not for me with its width and weight.

Kansas, eh? I live in Misery, wonder how close to KC he is?

I don't have Facebook which really screws me on a lot of PB related things, but I just can't bring myself to go back after killing my account in 2016.

Gonna have to put the 170r up this weekend to try and snag me an XTS
