Weather permitting and field permitting I always play paintball shirtless and i happen to have rings in both nipples. Anyone know if a direct hit would be enough to rip it out? I think after about 50ft or so (give or take) the ball slows down enough to not break skin usually anyway so it shouldn't hurt my nips right? Now point blank ish 300fps and we may then have a issue?

Yeah go with a nipple tape for sure.
Or I dunno this may seem a bit wild. Maybe extremely wild and inappropriate, but maybe wear a shirt.

To the extent that I am willing to attempt to apply logic to this conundrum, I would think that the metalwork cost money, whereas playing with a shirt does not. In the interests of protecting your investment, a shirt makes sense.
A compromise might be found in wearing a chest protector that is large enough to cover the rings during games, without a shirt underneath.

I used to have my nips pierced and played all the time.
If you don't cover them up, you are going to regret it eventually.
I took them out when I starting regularly playing tournament ball.

The answer is yes ! One of my buddies had them pierced and was hit roughy from 15’ away through a JT jersey. The shot split his nipple right in the center. He was in some pretty good pain and he removed them that night and never wore them again. It was a pretty nasty shot. No Thanks on all that.

Id say it could. But skins pretty stretchy. Id venture to guess it would tear the hole open larger on a single hit, but not out clean.
I took a hit in the necklace yeaaars ago. Your typical stamped silver necklace, I never took it off ( til the links corroded and it fell off)
But I got hit by my buddy, directly on the necklace, on top of my collar bone. Needless to say I still remember getting hit there. I had a welt with a white imprint of my chain cut through it. That being said that was just hardware hanging on me. If that was attached I would have likely died.
