Salvaging an ANS G2 reg?

Any parts on an ANS G2 HPR that I can potentially use on an Automag regulator?

The G2 I have leaks and the body is sealed, so it's getting chucked, but I figured I might be able to repurpose some of the bits.

The lower half threads right onto a Mag valve... and cuts a bunch of weight off. Swap all the Mag AIR guts over, though.

Doesn't have the pin to retail valve if the grip frame screw were to fall out, or to keep it from backing out on its own. FYI.

So inferior in that regard.

Looks cool with chopped down rail to match new length of the large diameter part of the valve.

A dab of loctite is your friend here.

I had no issues with any of mine before I went with a capped setup.

I think the only thing applicable to my use would be swapping in the pressure adjustment screw on the G2 for the stock mag piece to make velocity adjustment easier, not that needs to be done often. I assume the spring pack, piston, and pin are different in the G2.

I experimented with something this and kept getting weird reg creep, sometimes shot to shot, sometimes just sitting there. Probably I just needed new seals but I got tired of messing with it, lol. If you try it, use a gage so you can verify the consistency of the output pressure.

Probably needed a reg seat or you didn't have all the Mag parts swapped. It's almost a carbon copy of earlier AA regs which were developed from Automag valves... but the reg pins are a tad different, and seat into the reg seat differently, so they need to be a matched pair.
