Is anyone still making 3k psi fiber wrapped tanks? I've got a couple of older Air America 3k bottle regs that I'd like to put back into service and would prefer to save some weight over the current aluminum tanks.
I'm ok to mount a 4500 psi tank on them and only fill them from the 3k whip at the field, but that option may not fly with some staff depending on, 1) who is checking tank hydro that day, 2) if they know what they are looking at, and 3) if they believe I'm actually smart enough to not use the wrong fill station. I understand it's an insurance/liability issue for the field to allow mismatched bottles and regs and that rules are rules. I'm not intentionally trying to do anything hazardous; just want to use some old equipment.
Thanks!
